Gabon is a forest rich country in Africa that believes in sustainable forestry and allows picking of okoume logs for use in plywood industry. currently Gabon produces more than 2000 containers of face veneer per month with a forest cover of 9 million hectares being used for forestry.

Forestry allows gabon to employ majority of its work force and plays an important role in Gabonese economy.
